The Carruthers Academy of Real Estate was founded in 2004 by J. Thomas Carruthers III and Patrick T. Welsh, GRI, CRS, CRB, under the auspices of Prudential Carruthers Realtors and PCR Home Services. To fulfill this vision, the company continues an aggressive growth strategy and commitment to ongoing reinvestment into its systems, programs, and training to ensure the highest level of productivity and customer service.

To that end, the Carruthers Academy (C.A.R.E.) offers pre-licensing courses in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia for individuals considering a real estate career. In addition C.A.R.E. offers state approved continuing education classes in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia.
